Indonesian culinary festivities and soul in illustrations.

The Story

CLIENT

If there is anything that people should already know about Indonesia, it is its rich diversity in culture, language, but most of all, culinary. Many culinary marvels must have easily came to mind, but why limit these stimulating imagination only to ourselves when we can celebrate it together? 

 

This spirit of celebration  is what Indofood and Simpul Group transpire through  Indofood’s annual calendar and greeting cards for Christmas and New Years themed as “Feastival of Life”. Together with 12 Indonesian illustrators, Simpul Group crafts a calendar that displays imaginative and exciting illustrations of signature Indonesian culinary culture. It comes complete with the backstory of the culture itself, which came to be a frolicsome copywriting intended to complement the visuals as well as engaging the readers.

The book cover is graced with artworks by Domisilium Studio, and produced with vernacular technique.

By collaborating with 12 illustrators, we are consistent with the diversity and festivity theme, as these illustrators are bringing their own culinary imagination through their works.
