We were tasked by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) to develop three key visuals for BEKRAF’s pavilions at the ASIAN Games 2018. In developing these visuals, we had to work within a unique size, 1.000 cm x 500 cm, that was determined for the project.
The message was delivered and conveyed by creating stories and scenes that were moving dynamically across the 10 meters length, so that viewers were engaged to move their sight from side to side. It helps that the motion covers a wider area of the pavilions as well.

In tackling this task, we wanted colors to reflect the spirit of the event, and thus be vibrant while not taking away from the BPS’ identity. We chose a blue and violet color scheme that culminated in a mountain shape with the Indonesian flag extending out from it, giving a subtle cue of grandiosity and authority.
